Biden Administration Announces Landsat 2030 Initiative Dovetails with Natural Asset Companies
On December 20th, the Biden administration announced an international partnership initiative called Landsat 2030, chaired by Vice-President Harris.
Landsat is a partnership between the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Interestingly, these are two of the federal agencies that are also listed as part of “The Working Group” for Biden’s “National Strategy to Develop Statistics for Environmental Economic Decisions” created in January of 2023.

New Comment Deadline for NAC Proposal!
This is the second time the SEC has delayed approving NACs. Importantly, with their latest notice, they are instituting proceedings requiring the applicants (New York Stock Exchange and Intrinsic Exchange Group) to show that NACs do not violate Securities law. This is a major victory for the property rights movement.

Late on December 21st, the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a pre-publication notice that they are “instituting proceedings” and re-opening the comment period on their proposed rule to approve the creation of “Natural Asset Companies” (NACs).

The bill:
Provides the opportunity for compensation when government action significantly impairs the value of the property.
Sets significant impairment of property rights at $20,000 or 20% of property value, whichever is less.
