US Rejects Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals at United Nations Meeting

In a rebuke to the United Nations’ “International Day of Peaceful Coexistence,” the United States firmly denounced the UN’s “master plan for humanity.” Known as the “2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” the Trump Administration has officially rejected the agenda during the 58th Plenary Meeting of the General Assembly that took place March 4, 2025.

Edward Heartney, counselor for Economic and Social Affairs (ECOSOC) for the U.S. Mission to the UN delivered his remarks to fulfill President Trump’s reversal of the Biden position as directed in Executive Order 14148.  “Put simply, globalist endeavors like Agenda 2030 and the SDGs lost at the ballot box, therefore, the United States rejects and denounces the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals, and it will no longer reaffirm them as a matter of course.

Heartney’s statement sent shock waves through the entire UN General Assembly.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a comprehensive plan that outlines 17 goals proponents claim will end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure “prosperity for all.” What it requires is the redistribution of our wealth and explosion of our individual rights. It promises to address challenges such as climate change, inequality, and peace and justice. What it really does is transfer the power and wealth of the people into the hands of elitists who will determine whether or not we are complying.

In his prepared statement, Heartney said: “We have a concern that this resolution is a reaffirmation of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  Although framed in neutral language (this Agenda) advance(s) a program of soft global governance that is inconsistent with U.S. sovereignty and adverse to the rights and interests of Americans.”

Through the resolution “Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” the UN replaced Agenda 21 terminology and devised a new declaration that eventually would lead to a one-world government – an agenda on collision course with the Trump Administration’s America First Agenda.
