Sec. Brooke Rollins Featured Speaker at ASL’s Land and Liberty 2026 Conference

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins was the featured speaker at the American Stewards of Liberty (ASL) Land and Liberty 2026 conference last Friday.

Rollins, who grew up in Glen Rose, Texas and earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and a law degree from the University of Texas, delivered a rousing and enthusiastic talk covering multiple topics and praising ASL for all the work it has done over the last 30 years.

Rollins stated private property rights are the foundation of our liberty and both must be protected at all cost. She cited families she and her department have helped since being in office, including the Maude family from South Dakota and the King Ranch from Washington State as examples of government overreach that she called “agricultural lawfare.”

Texas Scorecard reporter Addie Hovland attended the Land and Liberty 2026 conference and reported on Sec. Rollins’ talk stating “…her goal is to realign the USDA with its original mission by putting farmers, ranchers, and private landowners first. Rollins argued that by doing so, the agency can help save rural America and, ultimately, the country itself.

Hariett Hageman (R-WY), another featured speaker, discussed important legislation, including amendments to the Endangered Species Act offered by ASL.

She also discussed her dislike for conservation easements.  She told the audience she does not support easements “in perpetuity” and said they should be for a term of not more than 30 years believing the dead hand should not control future generation’s use of their land.

Hageman stated how easements can decrease property value by at least 50 percent and each of the easement contracts contains what she explained is “a poison pill.”  “The very purpose of the contract is to protect the conservation or environmental value and as long as the holder of the easement considers traditional farming practices compatible with the easement’s purpose, the landowner is fine.  But, at some point in the future if the holder decides farming and ranching are no longer compatible, you can be stopped from both practices, hence the ‘poison pill’”.

Also featured was Catherine Austin Fitts, founder of The Solari Report, who promotes personal and family wealth as being critical ingredients of both individual freedom and community health and well-being.

Fitts was instrumental in 2024 exposing Biden’s 30×30 and Natural Asset Companies scam. Go here to read Texas Scorecard’s complete rundown of the Land and Liberty 2026 conference.
