New Mexico Committee Wants to Know How You “Feel” About Conservation

Forget About the Pesky “Science.”

The New Mexico 30×30 Advisory Committee, established under Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s 30×30 Executive Order issued last year, is seeking public comments to help prepare the state’s implementation plan. They want to “redefine” conservation in the Land of Enchantment.  To help them determine what this should be, they have asked the public to weigh in and complete a short survey.

Question number “7” is intriguing. It asks you to answer this simple question: “How do you feel about conservation?  In your opinion, conservation activities occurring in your community are: Very negative, Negative, Neutral, Positive, Very positive.”

Once your feelings have been properly categorized, you are ready to answer question number “8.” “How would you personally define conservation?  Please provide your own definition for ‘Conserved Lands,’ considering the impacts that conservation activities have on your community.”

Note, they are not asking for any data or science that may be worthy of consideration.  Evidently, the definition will be determined by the emotional state of the people.

There are only nine short questions to answer, the first five are for filling in your contact information.  If you feel inclined to express your feelings about the New Mexico 30×30 plan, you can do so here: NM 30×30 Survey.

The final New Mexico plan will also be used to support  the national 30 x 30 agenda:

“Redefining conservation also serves a practical purpose, helping to ensure New Mexicos vision for conservation is accurately represented in the American Conservation and Stewardship Atlas, which is being developed to track conservation progress nationally as part of the America the Beautiful initiative.”

We should all be assured that the “feelings” of the public will be used to help direct the Biden Administration’s program to control thirty percent of our lands.  No need to worry about those pesky facts and inconvenient truths.
