During a contentious regional hearing, American Stewards of Liberty executive director Margaret Byfield pressed Oncor representatives about whether environmental and emissions-reduction goals were a driving force behind the multi-billion-dollar project, while local officials criticized what they described as a top-down approval process with insufficient public input.
