Say Goodbye to Freedom in C40 Cities

A growing number of cities have joined the “C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group” declaring they will all ban meat, dairy, and private cars by 2030.  To date, 14 cities have pledged support for this misguided agenda.

They also want to limit the number of pieces of clothing a person can own and limit your ability to fly long distances from your home.  The cities in the United States, to date, include Austin, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Seattle.

The C40 group has issued a report called “The Future of Urban Consumption in a 1.5*C World” that claims unless we limit global temperature rises to 1.5*, the world will be destroyed by climate change.

Their report sums it up this way: “if we are going to stay within the greenhouse gas budgets and hold the temperature rise to 1.5°C, we have to cut emissions by 50 percent by 2030 and 80 percent by 2050.  And that’s not just the emissions from cars and buildings, but also all the things that we consume in that city, from red meat to cars to blue jeans to electronics to leaving on a jet plane.”  Yes, they want to limit what you can wear and how far you can fly on a plane.

They are targeting half the world’s population that lives in cities stating the “global food system is out of balance…[claiming] more than 820 million people suffer from hunger, while many more eat too much and/or eat an unhealthy diet that contributes to premature death and rising healthcare costs.”  So much for freedom if you live in these C40 cities!

Food production, according to this group, is one of the biggest drivers of global environmental change (climate change).  “Emissions associated with food consumption already account for around 13% of cities’ total greenhouse gas emissions, mainly from animal-sourced food.  [W]ithout significant change, food sector emissions will increase by an estimated 38% by 20503, further fueling a climate crisis which is already causing droughts, floods and desertification, reducing our ability to feed everyone.”   Truly, they want to depopulate the world.

To reduce “consumption-based emissions will require significant behavioral changes.”  They’ve already proven how this will be accomplished by using the COVID lockdown as their model.

This all ties into Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act that we are now discovering was what the administration admits was “the most ambitious climate and conservation agenda in history.”

In fact, the C40 Cities group celebrated the one-year anniversary of the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act stating: “…cities are stepping up and using the historic funding opportunities to implement projects that create good, green jobs, reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, and create healthier, safer, greener cities for all.”  These people literally live in their own pipe dream.

Laura Jay, Regional Director for North America C40 Cities said: “We must act now to address the climate crisis, and cities are leading the charge toward a greener future. The Inflation Reduction Act is a critical step for the United States to meet our shared obligation to get the world off fossil fuels. We must continue to work together to implement the bill to its fullest potential, and ensure we create a just, safe, and livable future for everyone.”

This just proves, all you have to do is follow the money.  They don’t care one whit about the climate.  It’s all about the Almighty dollar and how they can control the masses – through the food we eat and drink, the vehicles we drive, the clothes we wear, and the trips we can take.

The Inflation Reduction Act included $369 billion for climate mitigation and projects just like C40 Cities group.  Nothing but political payoffs to buy votes for elections from rotting, poorly managed urban cities, and their corrupt politicians.

It’s already being implemented in New York City where Mayor Eric Adams said the city will place caps on the amount of meat and dairy served by city institutions like schools and prisons.  The United Kingdom has banned the sale of new gas-powered vehicles after 2030, and France has banned short-haul flights “to cut carbon emissions.”

The fact that these cities and nations think they can make these kinds of decisions for their citizens shows how out of touch and, frankly, insane these people are.  Their power and greed has exceeded their ability to provide safe, prosperous, and growing communities.

They claim by eating less read meat and more fresh vegetables and fruits the C40 cities will save 170,000 deaths equating the loss to $600 billion in economic value of life.  And, by reducing dairy, “we could save 5,016 billion gallons of fresh water a year and save enough land to equal the size of Spain or 32 billion trees.”

Making audacious claims like these proves they believe they are gods who can regulate the temperature of the globe and save human lives by their pitiful and mediocre actions.

God created this world, and He is the only one who can totally destroy it.  By tempting their fate and attempting to control all our lives, He may provide them with a holocaust of Biblical proportions, but it will have nothing to do with man-made climate change.
