This week, a group known as Accountable.US, named American Stewards of Liberty as the most effective organization working to stop Biden’s 30×30 Land Grab.
Who is Accountable.us? They are one of the most highly leveraged and funded “government watchdog” organizations birthed by the Arabella Advisors group.
Arabella, as described by the Capital Research Center (CRC), is the “dark money” network…that “is perhaps the most powerful and, until recently, the least-reported-on player in Washington politics.” Three of the largest donors to Arabella include the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation.
“In a scant five years, this kraken grew its revenues an incredible 405 percent, from $332 million in 2015 to nearly $1.7 billion in 2020. That includes doubling its income since 2019,” noted the CRC report.
In their March 11, 2024 announcement, ASL was listed first to be included in their “Monitoring Influence database.” According to their release, the database documents the “most notorious opponents of common-sense conservation efforts like national monument designations, exposing their lies, fringe views, and industry ties.” They continue by claiming, “Many of the groups profiled engage in conspiracy-driven tactics, grift off local governments in rural communities, and embrace violent tactics, including unlawfully occupying public lands to force their extreme agenda on Americans.”
Accountable.US began attacking ASL in 2021 when they appealed to the IRS to revoke our non-profit status.
That action, along with a defaming editorial published in 2022, intending to derail our “Stop 30×30 Summit,” touched off the angst of C.J. Hadley, editor of Range Magazine and her bulldog investigative reporter, Dave Skinner. They published a six-page deep-dive into the characters behind Accountable.US.
Skinner wrote: “Accountable.US’s task today is, as Bruce Babbitt put it—to identify and drive into oblivion ‘enemies’ of 30 by 30—oops, America the Beautiful.”
That’s precisely their goal – attack and destroy those who are challenging their ideas rather than engage in robust, merit-based debates. Skinner said it correctly in his 2022 article: “Accountable? Not Us!”
Along with ASL, the press release included other highly effective organizations such as BlueRibbon Coalition, Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT), Protect the Harvest, The Heartland Institute, and True Texas Project.
ASL is honored to share this distinguished award with these fine organizations and others recognized for their good work defending our constitutionally protected property rights and the liberties they secure.
