EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin explains how giant international oil producers are moving away from funding green energy renewable projects like wind and solar.
British Petroleum’s (BP) CEO Murray Auchincloss stated his company had gone “too far, too fast” in the transition away from fossil fuels, and that its faith in green energy was “misplaced.”
Apparently, BP investors are unhappy with its lower profits and share price. Other companies such as Shell and Norwegian Equinor are also reducing their investment in green energy being encouraged by Donald Trump’s “drill baby drill” pledge.
Zeldin also stated that he is cutting back the EPA’s green spending budget by 65 percent because he found tremendous waste. For example, the Biden administration’s EPA had set aside $20 billion to go to a handful of non governmental organizations (NGOs) for green energy projects.
What the Secretary found was that NGOs had no business taking tax-payers dollars because most of them had no experience or knowledge of the purpose of the grant. In other words, the money was political payoffs to Biden’s friends. Zeldin has ended this funding.
